Melissa-Auria’s mommy-invited me to her husband’s family home where we’d shoot her baby girls 1st birthday photos. We began our session with family shots and I couldn’t believe how gorgeous their back yard was! It looked over a lake and as the sun was setting it cast such pretty golden light on to the water.
They also had the coolest hibiscus TREE! That’s right, a tree! I have never seen that and when I mentioned it her dad said that his family had been grooming it for so many years they managed to get it to grow like that! I thought it was so neat!
Her mom made her the cutest little lace teepee and wooden signs in honor of her first birthday. Her first outfit was an adorable white jumper with lace detailing. She couldn’t help but smile as all her family members gathered behind me and made her laugh.
Her second outfit was for her cake smash. She wore a pink tutu and an adorable tiny crown on her head. She was a little hesitant about the cake at first as most baby’s are during cake smash’s but once she realized it was yummy she looked pretty stoked! She had lots of fun getting messy!
It was such an awesome shoot and the fact that it took place in the backyard of their family home was so special!
