Nikki asked us to do more of an in-home lifestyle newborn session for her first son. We were excited for something a little bit different and to capture more photos with the family during our session. Their daughter Mikayla did such an amazing job of smiling and giving her new little brother kisses! She was so gentle with him and it was heartwarming to see! Next up we wanted to capture some photos of just the little ones so we had Mikayla sit on the couch and rested little Nixon's head on the pillow next to her for support. She looked so proud holding him and it was stinkin' adorable to capture! Nikki held her new son in her lap and Mikayla just loved staring at him! After we wrapped up the family photos we got the props we brought along. We used a large white and grey basket and stuffed it with white fur. After that we draped a grey cloth across and wrapped Nixon up in a white swaddle. It looked so simple and beautiful! Lastly we made him his own little bed out of a box we have. We tucked him in and we love how his little arm up looks so victorious!
